Work

I make two kinds of work: raku-fired pieces, where smoke and reduction are part of the finish, and functional studio ceramics made for everyday use.

Raku-fired work.

Bowls, sculptural pieces, croft houses and seasonal work. Some are hand-built, some are thrown, then raku-fired with smoke and reduction shaping the final surface.

Made to be used.

Mugs, tumblers, bowls and plates made in small batches. Most are wheel-thrown, a few are slipcast, and all are electric-kiln fired for everyday use.
